Each of the main edit panels can be snapped open or shut using the layout control, which appears has a dark grey panel in the middle of the light grey bar separating each panel. The right hand side panel, if/when visible, can also be sized. We added this because some users on small desktops complained that the left and top navigation took up too much space at times.
